This bit is also very well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to put the tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. Therefore this bit is eminently suitable for horses that do not tolerate conventionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react with head-tossing and the like.
